Once a month, the kids at school have Family Chapel. Family chapel is where the 5th grade students lead small groups composed of kids from each grade. It is a great time for the kids to practice teaching and really take a hard look at a lesson to teach it. They do a great job and everyone really enjoys it.
Today, I went around and observed the different groups. While observing, I heard somethings that I thought were noteworthy, here are some:
“Has anyone ever heard the story of Shadrach Meshach and Abednego?” “I saw it on Veggi Tales.”
“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, or as Vegi Tales calls them Rack, Shack and Benny”
” *reading* ‘Jesus stood up to speak in the synagogue.’ You guys know that synagogue is another language, right? They spoke it in the Bible times”
“Ok, now we are going to play hangman, but we are not really going to hang anyone.”
“God showed a light on Saul, and he changed his name to Paul.”
“Saul traded sides and became a Christian.”
I just thought I would share some of the laughs with you.
